The security guard's salary in Cyprus varies as in many other industries. Many, if not most, of the companies are paying their guards the minimum salary, which is, from January 2024, 900 euros.
Those are not experienced, well-trained, motivated, or well-presented guards. In most cases, those are pensioners who need a small extra to supplement their pension income or non-skilled personnel who will have similar earnings in any other industry.
That doesn't mean all security personnel get paid according to the lowest salary. Educated, experienced, and trained security guards in Cyprus can earn anything between 2000 to 5000 euros per month.
